There is many supplies for student use in the cabinets in SODAC 124. These are available all the time, and if you are unsure of how to do or use something you can always come in when there is a lab tech on shift. They can help you do almost anything in the lab and walk you through it!
There are three sets of cabinets that have various supplies in them. They are each labeled, but here we will show you a few of the things that are in each of the sets of cabinets. By the end of this tour you should know where some of the essentials are!
The Right Cabinet is where you will find all the essential printing paper. There is standard copy paper in R1, color digital paper in R2 and R3, and card stock in R4. You'r going to need various kinds of paper for different projects, so you will use this set of cabinets a lot. Each cabinet is also labeled with the paper size on each door.
In L1 you can find Xyron Laminante and Adhesive, which can be used for sticker making or laminating. In L2 there is book winding wire in many colors, so you can choose what suits your designs. There is 3D printing filament in L3, but make sure you have permission to use those printers. Lastly in L4 there is spare cardboard.
There is a wide variety of supplies in the print table, cabinets, and drawers. The most useful may be the cutting tools and the adhesive materials. There is also a button maker used by many clubs on campus and materials for large format posters. These materials can be explained further by the lab techs, so don't be afraid to ask!
